Draft pending legal review — this document is a working template and has not been reviewed by counsel. It is not yet binding and must not be relied on.
01Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information LuxBioLabs collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, membership network, and ordering system.
02Information we collect
We collect information in three ways.
- Information you give us — name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, membership application details (age attestation, research affiliation, intended use), affiliate application details (social handles, audience size, experience), support messages, and account credentials.
- Information collected automatically — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and interactions with the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from third parties — payment confirmation and card metadata from our payment processors (we never receive your full card number), shipping and tracking status from carriers, and fraud or verification signals from service providers.
03How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Review membership and affiliate applications and verify eligibility.
- Process, fulfil, ship, and support your orders.
- Maintain your account and provide member pricing and documentation.
- Communicate with you about applications, orders, and account matters.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Meet legal, tax, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.
- Measure and improve the performance of our site and services.
04How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions, and only as needed:
- Payment processors, to authorize and settle transactions.
- Shipping and fulfilment partners, to deliver your orders.
- Email and communications providers, to send transactional messages.
- Analytics and infrastructure providers that host and monitor the Services.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
05Cookies and tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, maintain your cart, and protect against abuse. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Services.
We also use analytics cookies to understand aggregate site usage, and affiliate attribution cookies to credit a referring partner when you arrive through their link. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.
06Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and afterwards only as needed for the purposes described here — typically to satisfy tax, accounting, compliance, and recordkeeping obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Application and order records are retained for the period required by applicable law.
07Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
08Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of some U.S. states additionally have the right to opt out of targeted advertising and to appeal a denied request.
To exercise a right, contact privacy@luxbiolabs.com. We will verify your identity before acting and will not discriminate against you for making a request. You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link; transactional messages about your account and orders will continue.
09Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to anyone under 21 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10International transfers
We operate in the United States. If you access the Services from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, where appropriate, communicated to members.
